There was a time where 2 countries compete to explore the outer space. Anyway, both countries encounter a problem. Both countries found out that they have difficulties to record down important data on paper at the outer space. There is no gravity at the outer space. So, they cannot use pen to record on the paper because the ink cannot go down to the paper.
To solve the problem, both countries had set up their own team to develop a workable solution. Finally, both teams have come out with their idea and creation. Thus, they continue to explore the outer space. Due to the competition at that time, they do not share with each other on their unique method of data recording.
A few years later, both countries cooperate to build a space station. One day, astronauts from country A and B meet together at the space station. They chatted together. During chatting, astronaut A was very proud to show how his team works to solve the problem of data recording. Astronaut A said: “Let me show you how my device works to record data.” The astronaut A took out a device look like mini computer. “We spend 1 year and 10 millions dollar to create this high technology device. All astronauts are trained about 1 month to use this device. This is one of our advanced equipment in space.” Astronaut A continues to say proudly. “How about you?” Astronaut A asked astronaut B. Astronaut B answer: “We do not have advanced equipment to record down data. We spend about 15 minutes for meeting to come out with best idea. It cost about 50 cents to implement the idea. We use a pencil and a paper. It costs about 40 cents for pencil and 10 cents for paper. No training is needed.” Astronaut A looked at the astronaut B with eyes opened widely. A simple way has solved the problem.
In our life, we encounter many complicated problems. Anyway, we have conditioned our mind that we must use complicated solution for complicated problem and simple solution for simple problem. We do it without our awareness. Sometimes, we just need a simple solution for complicated problem. Therefore, be careful when you have complicated solution. Simplify the complicated solution.
Today, we learn a lot of complicated theory of science or advanced mathematics to solve our life problem. We have received so much education until we believe that advanced method is the best way to solve any problem. This is not true. Think like a stupid or else ask a stupid to think for a solution. You may surprise that the stupid solution is more effective than your advanced solution. You may be smart but the solution you think should be simple and easy to carry out.
